Inside The Natural Living Lab

Blend by Chemistry

The art, the heart, and the science of every oil.

Give yourself six weeks and one molecule at a time. This is the deeper step, the one where essential oils stop being a shelf of pretty bottles and start making sense in your hands.

Beginner-friendly. Endlessly deep. Two live gatherings every week.

You'll be learning alongside 5,000+ members already growing with us.

The whole of an oil

Art, heart, and science. This is where they meet.

Every essential oil is three things at once. Most of us only ever learn one. For six weeks, we hold all three together, one component at a time, and that is the moment an oil stops being a label and becomes something you truly understand.

The Art

Blending is a craft. You learn to listen to an oil, balance a blend, and make something that feels unmistakably like you. Hands on the bottles, every single week.

The Heart

Oils carry lived experience and long tradition. We honor how they make us feel and the stories people bring to them, because that is half of why they matter.

The Science

Underneath it all is chemistry. Learn the one component doing the work, and suddenly every oil that shares it becomes legible. This is the lens that changes everything.

Hold the three together, and what you can create starts to feel limitless.

The shift

Most people collect oils by name. You're about to read the chemistry.

It is the difference between owning a hundred bottles and knowing what to do with them. Once you can spot the component doing the work, oils sort themselves into a handful of families you understand, and blending stops feeling like a guessing game.

Blend the molecule, not the label. That's the whole superpower, and you'll have it by the end of week one.

What you'll walk away with

A real, repeatable way to choose oils on purpose. The confidence to swap an oil you're out of for one with the same chemistry. And a small shelf of blends you made yourself, that fit your actual life.

No experience needed. Beginners are exactly who this is for.

Your six weeks

One component at a time, each building on the last

We start soft and steady, add brightness, then layer in release, clarity, grounding, and deep support. A single molecule to focus on each week, and by week six you'll be combining them with real intention.

Week 1

Linalool

Calm and steady

The gentlest molecule on the shelf, found in lavender, ho wood, and basil ct. linalool.

Week 2

d-Limonene

Bright and uplifting

The sunny lift in citrus oils like grapefruit and blood orange.

Week 3

Linalyl acetate

Deeper release

The soft, settling note in lavender, bergamot mint, and petitgrain.

Week 4

1,8-Cineole

Clear and opening

The fresh, breathable quality in cardamom, ravintsara, and rosemary.

Week 5

α-Pinene

Grounding and fresh

The forest note in frankincense, juniper berry, and pine.

Week 6

β-Caryophyllene

Deep support

The warm, grounding component in black pepper, copaiba, and hops.

A friendly challenge

Give yourself six weeks to go deeper

Here is the invitation: pick up one molecule a week, make a few blends, and let yourself be a little stretched. You do not need a science background or a full shelf. You need curiosity and a handful of bottles.

Every week is a small step, taught gently, with a whole community taking it right alongside you. That is the secret. You do not do this alone.

Tuck in. This is the fun kind of hard.

How the series runs

Simple, social, and completely free

A lesson to learn at your own pace, plus two live gatherings every week: a make-along and a Q&A with your instructors.

Wednesday make-alongs: bottles open, blending together.
1

A new lesson each week

One component opens in the community. Read it at your own pace, with the chemistry made plain and the recipes ready to make.

2

We blend together, live

A 60-minute make-along every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time. Bring your bottles and blend right alongside us. Can't make it live? The replay stays in the community.

3

Bring your questions, live

A separate live Q&A every Monday at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time, where you hop on and ask Karen and Jenny directly: about the chemistry, a blend that isn't landing, or where to take it next.

4

You share and we cheer

Post what you made and how it felt. This is where the chemistry clicks and the friendships happen.

Week one alone

You'll make three things in your first week

And many more across the series. Real blends, for real moments, made with your own hands.

Inhaler

Calm & Center Inhaler

A pocket-sized reset built around linalool. A few slow breaths, and the day feels easier to set down.

Body oil

Calm & Restore Evening Body Oil

A nightly wind-down that turns getting ready for bed into something you look forward to.

Bath soak

Deep Calm Bath Soak

A 20-minute permission slip to do nothing at all, with linalool reaching you through steam and skin.

Why go this deep

When you understand an oil, the possibilities open wide

This is the quiet promise of the chemistry lens. The more you understand, the more you can do, and the less you ever feel lost at your shelf.

A finished hydrosol blend held in hand
  • Choose oils on purpose, not by guesswork or by the prettiest label.
  • Swap an oil you're out of for one with the same chemistry, with confidence.

  • Keep growing long after week six, with a lens you'll use forever.

Is this you?

Made for the curious, friendly to the new

A spread of essential oils, carriers, and a recipe card

Where it can lead

This is a real taste of how the pros think

Before you join

A few quick questions

Do I need any experience or a science background?

Not at all. We teach the chemistry in plain language, one component a week, and beginners are exactly who this is built for. Curiosity is the only prerequisite.

Is it really free?

Yes. The whole series lives inside The Natural Living Lab, our free Skool community. Join free, and the lessons and live workshops open to you week by week.

How much time does it take?

One short lesson plus two optional live gatherings each week: a 60-minute make-along (Wednesdays) and a separate Q&A with Karen and Jenny (Mondays), both at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time. Join either one live or catch the replays. Read and blend at your own pace; the recipes are quick to make.

What if I can't make the live workshop?

No problem. Both the make-along and the Q&A are recorded, and the replays stay in the community, so you can blend along and catch the answers whenever you have the time.

Can I ask questions and get help?

Yes, and we'd love you to. Beyond the lessons, there's a dedicated live Q&A every Monday at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time where you can come on and ask Karen and Jenny directly: about the chemistry, a blend that isn't quite landing, or where to take your practice next. Replays stay in the community if you can't join live.

What supplies will I need?

A few oils and a carrier to start. Each lesson lists simple supplies, all available through Aromatics International. Want the easiest path? The Essential Oil Chemistry 101 Kit packs everything for all six weeks into one box and saves you up to 30%. Either way, you can build your shelf as you go.
